North American Delegation Visits DEWI
On 9 October 2009 a North American delegation on a "Canada & USA wind energy business trip" organized by the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce visited DEWI GmbH.
The delegation consisting of representatives of ten Canadian and American companies active in the field of wind energy was welcomed in the information pavilion of the Jade Windpark for a presentation of DEWI GmbH and its services. This was followed by a visit of the DEWI test site, one of the world's largest wind turbine test sites, where DEWI experts were available to answer the delegates' questions.
The business trip was organised on behalf of Germany Trade and Invest (GTAI), Germany’s new foreign trade and inward investment agency. It was part of a program initiated and financed by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology of Germany and took place under the framework of the Export Initiative Renewable Energy. The purpose of the trip was to establish contact between Canadian and US American companies and the German wind industry in order to build up long-term business relationships.
