German Wind Energy Conference

Since 1992, DEWI has also been organising the biennial International Technical Wind Energy Conference (DEWEK). Recently, the main focus of the conference has been on multi-megawatt wind turbines and on the challenges presented by the use of offshore wind energy at locations far out at sea. Another important subject of DEWEK is the technical optimisation of wind turbines and components, which is becoming increasingly important with regard to enhancing and improving economic efficiency, reliability and durability.

Two days of concentrated wind energy technology and research are an attractive programme for more than 600 conference participants from about 30 countries. The conference language is English and German in all sessions with simultaneous translation. After the conference, papers and posters are published in the DEWEK proceedings.
