Combining technical expertise with many years of in-depth industry experience, DEWI-OCC (a UL company) offers global, one-stop wind energy certification services to turbine and component manufacturers, project developers, utilities and other companies within the sector.

DEWI-OCC National & International Committees

DEWI-OCC is recognized worldwide as a leading independent certification body for on/ offshore wind turbines and their components. DEWI-OCC was founded in 2003 in Cuxhaven, Germany. In 2012, DEWI-OCC became a UL company and has since operated from offices in Bremen.

National & International Committees

DEWI-OCC is a widely respected member of major national and international committees which are defining wind energy standards, such as:

  • IEC – International Electrotechnical Commission
  • DKE – Deutsche Kommission Elektrotechnik Elektronik-Informationstechnik in DIN und VDE
  • DPInst – Committee of German Certification Bodies for Wind Turbines
  • BSH – German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency
  • FGW – Federation of German Windpower and other Renewable Energies

DEWI-OCC Accreditations

DEWI-OCC is accredited by DAkkS (Germany’s National Accreditation Body), according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17065:2013 for “Certification in the fields: on/offshore wind turbines and their components; single wind turbines and on/offshore wind farm projects and small wind turbines”.
